Clutch/Brake Conversion - Hancock Machine is experienced in pneumatic and hydraulic clutch/brake conversions. We have worked with most aftermarket & OEM units.
New shafts, bearings, and clutch/brake units are printed, assembled, and tested for proper operation. Hancock Machine can work in your plant to remove the old unit and install the new one.
Prints are always available for these conversions and maintained in job files to assure customer satisfaction.
Conversions restore and improve efficiency plus machine operator safety. Generally, capital improvements to equipment are funded readily. Depending on clutch/brake unit availability, most conversions are completed in a few weeks.
Conversions normally improve press stop time, an OSHA concern. Conversions are engineered to provide one million engagements prior to requiring maintenance.
The hydraulic unit shown provides excellent service life, can be air or water cooled and parts are available on the vendor’s shelf. Remote testing and strip charts show actual time in milliseconds.
